That’s a wrap!

Our last few days in Switzerland were filled with swimming, dinners lakeside, castles and adventure parks. What an incredible experience.

The kids are excited to go home. I’m always a Little sad to leave Europe.

Here’s what they’ve missed the most:

1- dasher- we made friends with every dog we met while traveling. The kids demand dasher comes along on our next adventure. I reported to explain that he can’t fit under the seat in front of us on an airplane. They disagree.

2- burgers- European burgers taste like meatloaf. So excited to indulge in a real burger.

3- the availability of drinking water. I kid you not, we’ve probably spent $250 on water alone! When you’re on the move all day, and it’s hot, you need lots of water!

What I’ve missed the most:

1- bedrooms. We like to pack as many people in as possible to our accommodations. I cannot wait for everyone to have their own bedroom and space.

2- hairbrush. We lost our hairbrush about two weeks ago. Let’s just say it’s been a lot of pony tails.

3 – appliances in english. Every load of laundry was a complete surprise! I had no idea what setting I was using and/or what I would get in the end. Is the simple things.

Ps- Kerry has promised a 20th wedding anniversary ski trip back to Switzerland (documented here, for all to see!). In his defense, this promise was made over a delicious bottle of wine and before the credit card bill arrived.

Chillon castle- along with our usual threat. Kids acting up? Then we go wine-tasting. Always straightens them right up.
Ropes course for the record books.
Adventure around every corner!
Backpacks on. We travel light.
That’s France in the background!
Last dinner and boardwalk stroll. Traveling, at any age, requires patience, grit and flexibility but the memories we made are legendary.
